Vice Chairman of Tra Vinh Provincial Peoples Committee, Nguyen Quynh Thien, engages with Well Group (Japan)

On the morning of December 15, Vice Chairman of the Tra Vinh Provincial People's Committee, Nguyen Quynh Thien, conducted a working session with a delegation from Well Group (Japan), led by Mr. Imura Seiji, the CEO. The discussion centered around plans for developing elderly healthcare in Tra Vinh.

The working session's atmosphere

Well Group is presently collaborating with Tra Vinh University to implement a pilot training program in Rehabilitation for students and the community. The aim is to verify the feasibility and compatibility of this program, which mirrors the Japanese health industry, within the Vietnamese context. This collaboration is part of a project approved by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and executed by Well Consulting Company, a subsidiary of Well Group.

In a bid to sustain and broaden their collaboration with Tra Vinh province, Well Group expressed its desire for more in-depth discussions regarding future directions in training, recruitment, and the exchange of medical human resources. Simultaneously, they proposed support for the establishment of a nursing home at Tra Vinh University Hospital and a project for in-home elderly care.

Mr. Imura Seiji stressed that Well Group is eager to stand beside Tra Vinh University and the provincial health sector, transferring and providing elderly healthcare techniques adhering to Japanese standards. Moreover, Well Group pledged efforts to secure aid resources from Japanese organizations to promptly realize proposed activities.

During the meeting, representatives from provincial departments and branches engaged in discussions, updating Well Group on the situation and development plans for elderly healthcare and rehabilitation in Tra Vinh. They also delved into the exchange of human resources between Nara province (Japan) and Tra Vinh province in the healthcare sector, as well as the potential development of proposed projects.

Vice Chairman Nguyen Quynh Thien affirmed Tra Vinh's keen interest in the field of elderly healthcare and rehabilitation. The province is actively planning the establishment of a Rehabilitation Hospital in the near future, necessitating significant human resources, management expertise, and healthcare techniques.

Through dialogues with Well Group, the Vice Chairman consented to further cooperation, focusing on the training, development, and exchange of human resources in the field of elderly healthcare and rehabilitation. Simultaneously, Tra Vinh University was entrusted with overseeing and coordinating with the Department of Planning and Investment and the Department of Health to devise plans for the implementation of future collaborative activities as proposed by Well Group.

Vice Chairman Nguyen Quynh Thien extended gratitude to Well Group for their support in human resource training and the introduction of Japanese healthcare techniques to the province. He expressed hope that, in the future, Well Group would continue to be a partner in numerous other healthcare projects in the region.
