During the meeting, Consul General Agustaviano Sofjan remarked, Tra Vinh is one of the 23 provinces and cities in the Southern region under the jurisdiction of the Indonesian Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh city. Through this visit, I aim to gain deeper insights into the province's economic and social landscape. Consequently, I hope to introduce and connect Indonesian enterprises interested in investing in Tra Vinh. The Indonesian Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh city is committed to serving as a bridge between the governments, businesses, and peoples of the two countries.

Consul General Agustaviano Sofjan emphasized, Indonesia and Vietnam share a longstanding and close traditional friendship. In 2023, bilateral trade between the two countries reached nearly USD 14 billion, with Indonesia being Vietnam's leading trading partner in ASEAN. Currently, Vietnam hosts over 40 Indonesian enterprises investing and expanding here. Looking ahead, I hope Indonesia and Tra Vinh will strengthen cooperation, extending beyond economic ties to cultural and social spheres, thereby fortifying the bilateral relationship.

Comrade Kim Ngoc Thai, in his capacity as the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, expressed his pleasure in welcoming the working delegation from the Indonesian Consulate General in HCMC to Tra Vinh. He also provided the delegation with an overview of the province's economic, cultural, and social development, its potentials, strengths, and investment attraction orientations.

Comrade Kim Ngoc Thai expressed his desire for Consul General Agustaviano Sofjan to pay attention to and facilitate connections between Tra Vinh and Indonesian enterprises and investors in sectors where both sides possess strengths. Tra Vinh is committed to welcoming and providing favorable conditions, in terms of mechanisms and policies, for enterprises interested in exploring and investing in the province.

On behalf of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and himself, Comrade Kim Ngoc Thai wished all delegation members good health, happiness, and well-being. He also expressed confidence in the continuous tightening and development of the relationship between the two nations.
