Chairman of Provincial Peoples Committee hosts Indian Consul General in Ho Chi Minh city

On the afternoon of February 1st, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Le Van Han, along with representatives from various provincial departments and branches, welcomed Mr. Madan Mohan Sethi, the Consul General of India in Ho Chi Minh City.

During the meeting, Mr. Madan Mohan Sethi expressed his desire to forge connections between Tra Vinh province's tourism sector and Indian travel companies, aiming to promote tourism and attract Indian tourists to visit Tra Vinh. Additionally, he proposed providing support to the province in training human resources for teachers and healthcare professionals to enhance their skills and expertise.

In order to facilitate trade connections, Mr. Madan Mohan Sethi expressed hope that the province would offer support and furnish specific information regarding products and agricultural goods with export potential from Tra Vinh to the Indian market, as well as ongoing investment projects. The Consul General pledged to support the connection between Tra Vinh province and Indian units and businesses.

On this occasion, Mr. Madan Mohan Sethi extended New Year's greetings to the provincial leadership and extended an invitation to a delegation from Tra Vinh to visit and work in India in the near future.

In response, Chairman Le Van Han expressed his delight in welcoming the Indian Consul General to Tra Vinh, extending Tet greetings, and facilitating collaboration in the province.

Providing information to the Consul General, Chairman Le Van Han highlighted that Tra Vinh currently boasts a relatively substantial seafood output, albeit primarily in its raw, unprocessed form. Consequently, the province is actively seeking investment in seafood processing and the logistics industry. Chairman Le Van Han expressed hope that Mr. Madan Mohan Sethi would serve as a liaison and support the connection of Indian businesses to explore and invest in Tra Vinh.

Furthermore, Chairman Le Van Han assigned the Department of Planning and Investment as the focal point to provide information on the province's agricultural products and goods with export potential to the Indian market, as well as ongoing investment projects, aiming to ensure that the connection between India and Tra Vinh achieves high effectiveness.
