- National Highway: there are 04 routes, including National Highway 53, National Highway 54, National Highway 60 and National Highway 53B, with a total length of 271.46 km connecting Tra Vinh province smoothly with Ho Chi Minh city and other provinces in the Mekong Delta region, specifically:

+ National Highway 60 to Ho Chi Minh city is about 130 km, to Soc Trang via Dai Ngai bridge (construction has begun, expected to be completed in 2026) with a length of more than 15 km. This is a very important route connected smoothly by Dai Ngai bridge, helping Soc Trang, Bac Lieu and Ca Mau provinces to travel to Ho Chi Minh city about 80 km shorter (compared to traveling on National Highway 1).

+ National Highway 53 goes about 90 km to Can Tho city, about 60 km to Vinh Long province.

- Provincial Road: There are 05 routes, including Provincial Road 911, Provincial Road 912, Provincial Road 914, Provincial Road 915 and Provincial Road 915B, with a total length of 225.67 km.

- District Roads: there are 42 routes, with a total length of 481.25 km.

Important inter-regional connection routes have been planned for implementation in the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050, including:

- Coastal corridor connecting with the provinces of Ca Mau, Bac Lieu, Soc Trang, Ben Tre, Tien Giang, Long An and Ho Chi Minh city with a level 3 delta scale.

- Expressway: Hong Ngu (Dong Thap) - Tra Vinh (to Dinh An Economic Zone);

- Expressway: Ho Chi Minh city - Tien Giang - Ben Tre - Tra Vinh - Soc Trang, ensuring a smooth road traffic system in the region.
