Con Ho Ecotourism Site
Con Ho is part of My Hiep A hamlet, Duc My commune, Cang Long district, Tra Vinh province with an area of 25 hectares and 21 households. Nearly 15 km from Co Chien bridge by road (National Highway 60 from Ben Tre City to Tra Vinh) and about 1km from Duc My commune by water. Con Ho is surrounded by the Co Chien River, with the characteristics of a basin flowing from the river to the sea, and is endowed with natural advantages of alluvial resources, a diverse ecosystem, rich in lush fruit orchards, and The rich flora... is an advantage in developing various types of eco-tourism and community-based experiential tourism.
The economic activities of the people on the dunes are mainly agriculture, with fruit gardens combined with small-scale livestock farming. Currently, this place is often called an "oasis" due to its separate terrain from the mainland. Coming here, visitors will experience a true living space. An island without electricity, where there are only fruit gardens and gentle, hospitable people.
Con Ho is about 1.2 km long and more than 300m wide. Houses and gardens of households lie across the island, with two sides facing the river.
People live mainly by growing fruit trees, mainly green-skinned grapefruit. There is also intercropping with other fruits such as oranges, tangerines, coconuts, bananas, herbs...
